We have four new releases this year. Tim was asked to do the poster for the 20th Annual Durango Poetry Gathering. Autumn Reflection gives us a new open edition for the first time in awhile. However, there will not be very many printed, so hurry if you would like one.
October Mist was released this summer, so I do have both the print and the canvas in stock. The Signed Limited Edition Print (950 S/N 20" X 30") is $195. The Signed Artist Proof goes for $290. A Signed Canvas Transfer (approximately 20" X 30") is $395.
We have been taking orders on Cowboy Cut since it was first seen in the New Mexico Stockman in June. It is a perfect addition to the other Cutting paintings that Tim has painted through the years. The Signed Limited Edition Print (950 S/N 20" X 32") is $195. The Signed Artist Proof (95 S/N 20" X 32") goes for $225. A Signed Canvas Transfer (250 S/N 20" X 32") is $395. It is also available in a Super Size Canvas Giclée (25" X 40"Edition of 250) for $850. (Giclées sent unstretched and tubed for $25)
Crossing the Creek will be in Tim’s first Cowboy Artists of America Show in October. We are very excited that he will be participating this fall. Here is a little explanation of the things that we sell:
Signed open editions and posters can be reprinted over and over. A limited edition has a preset number of signed and numbered prints. Artist proofs are the artist's personal prints that are given to him as part of the printing deal - usually 10% of the edition. There is no physical difference between the artist proofs and the limited edition, they are just numbered differently, so I don't normally recommend buying them unless you are a collector of Artist Proofs, you particularly want a low number, or that is all that is left. They are considered more collectable and are valued higher both initially and later on.
We make a canvas transfer by sending an existing Open edition, Poster, Limited Edition, or Artist Proof to California. There they put the paper print into a special solution that soaks away the paper. They apply the film of ink that is left to a specially prepared, stretched canvas. These look very much like an original when you put them in a frame like we put an original in. (They are about the same size as the print we made them from.) These are my favorites. They are great looking and very durable. A Giclée is different in that the color is sprayed directly on to paper or canvas. Tim likes the reproduction on Giclées better than canvas transfers.
